The Office of the Special Envoy on Transnational Crime (OSETC) attended the “Workshop on Countering Violent Extremism and Governing Public Safety Regime,” which was held on 28 November 2017 at BSA Twin Towers, Bank Drive, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City. AMB ANSELMO SIMEON P PINILI, Special Envoy on Transnational Crime (SETC) served as guest lecturer on the second day assisted by Mr. Josua G Mariano, DO TOC.
The workshop was participated in by Senior Police Officers undergoing Officer Senior Executive Course (OSEC) and relevant Local Government Units personnel across the country.
SETC and Mr. Mariano represented the OSETC as resource persons for the said workshop of the Training of Trainors (TOT) during the second day of the seminar on Radicalization of Foreign Nationals. After which, series of questions and clarificatory points have been raised by the audience.
The Radicalization of Foreign Nationals Presentation gave emphasis on (1) Historical context; (2) Recruitment factors; (3) Driving factors; (4) Common Security Challenge; (5) Preventive Measures; and (6) General Assessment.
