osetc attends the CYBER INVESTIGATION AND CYBER SECURITY SEMINAR/WORKSHOP

The Office of the Special Envoy on Transnational Crime (OSETC) represented by PSUPT ELIZABETH D JASMIN, Head, ADMINISTRATION SERVICES and SPO1 Kelvin P Agustin, Asst. Head, Administration Services and Mr. Josua G Mariano, Desk Officer, attended the Cyber investigation and cyber security workshop at PAOCC Compound - conference room Camp Crame Quezon City on February 10, 2017. It was participated in by the following government agency-representatives, to wit:

 

a.      Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC);

b.    
Philippine Center on Transnational Crime (PCTC); and

c.      Office of the Special Envoy on Transnational Crime (OSETC)

 

The purpose of the meeting was to educate and inform the participants on Cybercrime threats, securities and trends today. The talking points of the one day workshop were as follows:

 

      CYBERCRIME PREVENTION AND AWARENESS;

      PNP ACG;

      CYBERCRIME STATISTICS;

      MODUS OPERATION/MODUS OPERANDI; and

      CYBERCRIME AND RELATED LAWS

 

To address these issues, certain recommendations were made relative to the issues presented from the concluded activity. PCI JUN PAOLO ABRAZADO and PSUPT JAY GUILLERMO, the resource speakers, emphasized that there is a reputational issue by the cybercrime victims having therefore low number of filed cases.
