OSETC REP ATTENDS PLANNING SESSION TO FINALIZE THE DRAFT IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS (IRR) OF THE STRATEGIC TRADE MANAGEMENT ACT OF 2015 (RA 10697)

The Office of the Special Envoy on Transnational Crime (OSETC) represented by Mr. Angelo de Leon, designated OSETC Desk Officer attended the group meeting on the planning session to finalize the draft of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the Strategic Trade Management Act (STMA) of 2015 that was held at the ES Gallery Conference Room, 4th Floor, Mabini Hall Malacañan Palace Complex, Manila on April 18, 2017.
The activity was chaired by USEC Wilson R Victorio, Director, Anti-Terrorism Council-Program Management Center (ATC-PMC) and was attended by representatives from different relevant agencies including OSETC.
A three-day Write Shop scheduled on May 10-12, 2017 was proposed with the intended output of crafting a final draft of the IRR, agreed be held at same venue at Malacañan Palace.
Priority agenda to be resolved are: National Strategic Goods List (NSGL) and the proposed Single Licensing Agency (SLA) are to be discussed on the scheduled three-day write-shop.
The meeting was adjourned at about 12:00 noon same date with USEC Victorio giving his closing remarks.
