LAUNCHING OF THE ARMS TRADE TREATY VOLUNTARY TRUST FUND PROJECT

The Office of the Special Envoy on Transnational Crime in partnership with the Nonviolence International and representatives from different concerned government agencies have launched the project entitled, “Developing and Implementing at Training Course on Licensing, Investigation and Enforcement Policies and Procedures” last 8 August 2017 at the Novotel Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City. The project is funded by the Voluntary Trust Fund (VTF) Program of the Arms Trade Treaty (ATT).
Members of the Technical Working Group (TWG) were from the following organizations: 1. Anti-Terrorism Council – Program Management Center (ATC-PMC); 2. Bureau of Customs (BOC); 3. Department of National Defense (DND); 4. Department of Trade and Industry – Strategic Trade Management Office (DTI-STMO); 5. National Bureau of Investigation (NBI); 6. Nonviolence International (NI); 7. Office of the Special Envoy on Transnational Crime (OSETC); and 8. Philippine National Police (PNP).
Accordingly, it also served as the first preparatory meeting of the members of the TWG that will plan and formulate the project, especially its most important component, the course outline and curriculum of the three (3) training courses.
